After several lifts, catch his paw gently in midair, and then treat. wait for him to place a paw in your hand, and treat. 4. Build up to holding your dog’s paw and gently shake. TREAT. Trick 2 : Command is Touch: Your hand is the target your dog must touch. Place a treat between your fingers place your hand directly in front of your dogs nose say touch and allow the dog to retrieve the treat. Repeat 20 times when you can say touch and the dog targets your hand it is time to put the treat in the opposite hand. Say touch dog taps hand with nose say good and give treat with opposite hand.

Once the dog is achieving this behavior 9/10 times begin holding your hand a little farther away. Once the dog achieves 9/10 begin holding yourhand higher in the air or in different spots.
